Have you ever wished you could play with others in a jam? Or play for people to dance to?
I teach old-time fiddle; music that is not only fun to play but opens up a whole community that quickly becomes like family. It is also one of the most accessible styles to learn. I teach in the aural tradition, i.e. by ear, so reading music is not necessary.
I have taught fiddle at the “Old-time Rollick” camp at the Ashokan Center in Olivebridge NY for 7 years, and have taught workshops at many music camps and festivals in the UK along with many private students.
I teach beginners to advanced players, either in-person or online.

“The first thing I noticed about Becca’s fiddling is how clear and sweet yet strong it is. As a teacher, she is tuned into what each student needs to keep growing and progressing. She is able to communicate what she is doing to achieve her sound in an highly accessible way. She is a generous teacher and takes her students seriously; she really wants each one to get everything they can out of a lesson. If you get the chance to learn from her, don’t pass it up.”
“Becca is a talented musician who is invested in her students’ progress. She is masterful at tailoring her lesson structure to fit student needs and is skilled at finding music suited to individual interests. Becca’s done a fantastic job of helping me break down bowing patterns and apply them in my playing”
